The Laser Balance Beam Skill Expander adds another progression to beam training by expanding the surface to 21-in wide. Trying new skills can be intimidating — but not with the Laser Balance Beam! Athletes gain confidence as they train, thanks to the helpful visual cues from the numbered lines. These markers make it easy to track foot placement and body alignment. Plus, the beam feels solid underfoot, giving gymnasts that ‘real beam’ experience. Best of all? It all happens on a safe, level surface — the perfect setup for progress!
The Skill Expander consists of two different layers of cross-linked closed cell EVA foam with the firm layer on top to provide a firm but forgiving surface. It is covered with Tumbl Trak signature loop carpet material. Think of all the creative stations you can add to beam training using Velcroable Sticky Manipulatives, Fun Sticks, Half Rounds and more to this set up! Athletes will build confidence quickly and safely using this custom set up.

- Spot clean as needed with a damp cloth and mild soapy solution. Dry thoroughly before use.
- Remove lint and hair from Velcro tabs with a wire brush.
Can the Laser Beam Skill Expander be used with the Laser Beam Conversion Top?
The Laser Beam Skill Expander is not compatible with any beam other than the Laser Beam Pro, Laser Beam Lite or (2) Laser Beam Lites.
Can I use one Laser Beam Skill Expander on a Laser Beam Pro to work dismounts?

Can I use the Laser Beam Skill Expander for anything on it’s own?
We do not recommend using it without a Laser Beam as it was not intended for this use.
Can I use the Laser Beam Skill Expander outdoors?
This Skill Expander is not designed for use outdoors. The materials are not weather-resistant.
How do I connect two Laser Beam Skill Expander together?
There is a velcro flap on the side that connects more than one unit together.
Is there Velcro on the bottom of the Laser Beam Skill Expander?
No, the Skill Expander has a non-skid bottom and relies on the weight of the Laser Beam to hold it in place.
Can I use the Laser Beam Skill Expander on hardwood or tile floors?
The Skill Expander has foam padding dense enough to protect athletes from making contact with the floor. It is recommended that athletes use caution when trying new skills that might cause them to fall off the 21” wide surface onto a hard floor.
