The revolutionary SPIETH ‘Soft Touch’ technology combines the new ‘Soft Touch’ technology with superior stability. This balance beam features well-known stability to perform pirouettes, jumps and sidewards landings. At the same time there is considerably lower impact on the joints with the ‘Soft Touch’ landing, especially for landings on both legs for gymnastic and acrobatic elements.

Meet the best of 2 worlds – optimal grip and landings with reduced impact on athletes’ joints, during long training sessions. A new innovative shape of the aluminum profile makes the balance beam appear optically wider, which makes it more comfortable for the gymnasts to train and compete on it. Upgrade your training equipment with this cutting-edge balance beam.

  • Height adjustable from 75 to 125 cm, with 5 cm increments.

Q: Is the Soft Touch Beam Adjustable?

A: Yes, however, we really do recommend that you set the beam to FIG level and leave it.  The mechanism is not intended for multiple adjustments throughout the day.

Q: What matting is recommended for the Soft Touch Competitive Beam?

A:  In international competition, we recommend using the Podium Style International Mats (call to order).  Another less expensive option is to use the FIG Non Approved Mat Setup (call to order).  These are podium style mats but with vinyl covering, not carpet.  The least expensive matting option would be to us the regular 12cm Beam Base Mats.  It should be noted, if you cover the Soft Touch beam legs with the specifically designed upright leg pads and use the 12CM base mat instead of the International Mats or FIG Non Approved Mats, there will be approx 2 inch gap b/w the bottom of the upright leg pads (grey ones) and the base mat.

Q: Is there padding that covers the legs?

A: Yes, the legs to the Soft Touch beam should be covered by the Soft Touch Beam Upright Leg Padding (Item no 1566080)  These are priced and sold individually (not as a pair).  Call to Order.

Q: Do the Upgright Leg Pads for the Crank Beam work on the Soft Touch Beam?

A:  No, unfortunately, they do not.
