Built for Clubs

By using the Stunt Double, cheer coaches and athletes are able to make important corrections in shaping, stunt progressions, and stunt timing, as well as judge core strength and shoulder flexibility without risking injury to a flyer. The product features a sturdy crossbar with a swiveling foot that mimics the action of a flyer, allowing athletes to simulate the act of being the base in a cheer stunt. The Stunt Double also provides strength-building resistance when lifting the device overhead. Add a cheer shoe to the foot (shoe not included) for an even more authentic feel.

The Deluxe Version includes everything you get with the standard unit plus an additional (3) sets of bungees and (1) set of Ankle Straps. Purchase a 2-Person Kit to get an extra set of straps and ankle straps for partner stunt workouts!

Does the Stunt Double come with a shoe?

The Stunt Double does not come with a shoe. If you would like to add a shoe to give your bases a more realistic feel, a size 6-7 women's shoe fits nicely. Avoid using a larger size shoe as it could slip off while stunting, causing problems.

Can any level athlete use the Stunt Double?

Yes! The stunt double is appropriate for any level athlete. Be sure beginner athletes are prepared, before using the Stunt Double, with progressions that teach the proper body alignment and fundamental arm strength. When practicing new or advanced stunt skills with the Stunt Double, consider having a spotter hold the crossbar while the athlete works through the hand sequences.

How do I choose which resistance band is the right one for my athlete?

Each of the three colored bands included with the Stunt Double are varying lengths. Choose a band that the athlete can easily stretch overhead with moderate resistance. At the easier tension, the athlete can focus on the correct shapes and form in the technique. The athlete should be able to do 10-15 reps of a movement at any given tension. As the athlete progresses with good shapes consistently, increase the resistance with either a shorter band or double bands.

What is the crossbar made of?

The crossbar and swivel foot are made of sturdy steel and can be used alone, without the resistance bands as a weighted progression.

What makes the Stunt Double different than usual stunt conditioning products?

There are many features built into the construction of the Stunt Double that make the product efficient as well as safe and sturdy. Each resistance band is covered with scrunched nylon cloth and have rubber-coated ends to cover the place of attachment to the carabiner. The ends of the crossbar are made of a thick welded steel eye bolt.
