WARM UP & ACTIVITIES

Teaching Beginners to Support and Shift their Weight

Purpose: In a previous training tip we set up a drill in such way that allowed beginners to work on inverting the body while in motion. This drill uses a foot marker on either side of a half round to help the athlete progress to supporting their weight and shifting from one side to the other such as in a cartwheel.

Set up: Booster Block, Half Rounds, Hands and Feet
